Dan and I had a fun day on Saturday! The day began with an afternoon at Newport Beach- which was surprisingly not very crowded. Dan built us a pretty sweet fort complete with a sand wall to protect us from the tide, and sand seats that perfectly contorted to our bodies. There were a lot of compliments from passer-by-ers, and he must have started a new trend because we had quite a few people building their own forts around us, but of course they didn't compare to ours! Lol, way to go babe!
We also got lucky and saw a big group of dolphins close to the shore! It was VERY cool!
After our day at the beach, we saw Batman! It was pretty good- but not as amazing as everyone else seems to think it was! Just a little dark for me.... BUT we found a theater that only charges $6 for evenings- which is basically unheard of in California where the norm is $10.50! So it looks like we are going to start seeing movies more often! (We pretty much boycotted movies since we've lived here because $10.50 is just crazy talk!) And that makes Dan REALLY happy!!

Hey Tasha, For the movies I agree, $10.50 is outrageous!!! Here is another idea... We liked the idea of going to the drive-in but never liked the location (Pomona). But a few weeks ago our friends made us go with them and inside the drive-in it is pretty nice. You two should try it! It is $7.50 per person and you can see two movies. Take blankets and chairs and sit outside or take a truck and hang out in the tailgate. Maybe the four of us could go if you guys are interested. Just a suggestion.
